Terms and conditions

1. Who you're contracting with

SIAS Technologies Limited, trading as Chat University, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 15054772. Contact: concierge@chatuniversity.co.uk. In these terms, "we" and "us" means that company.

2. What you get

One review of one UCAS personal statement, assessed against the Chat University framework and the courses you tell us you're applying to. The review is shown on screen when it's ready (usually within a few minutes) and emailed to the address you give at checkout.

Each purchase covers one submission. Once you submit your statement, the purchase is used.

3. How the review is produced

Your review is generated by artificial intelligence following our framework, with automatic checks on its quotes and scores. It is guidance to help you improve your own statement. It may contain mistakes, and you should use your own judgement about what to change.

4. Guidance only: no guarantee of outcome

We do not guarantee any offer, interview or admissions outcome. Admissions decisions are made solely by universities, and we have no influence over them. Course information we use may be out of date; check details on each university's own website.

5. Your statement stays yours

You must only submit a statement you wrote yourself. We don't rewrite your statement. Example rewrites in the review are illustrations, with gaps for you to fill in with what you actually did and learned.

6. Price and payment

The price shown at checkout (£10) is the total you pay. We are not VAT registered and nothing is added at checkout. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.

7. Your right to cancel

You have the right to cancel within 14 days of purchase without giving a reason, and we will refund you in full, provided you haven't submitted your statement.

At checkout you asked us to begin immediately and acknowledged: "I want my review to be prepared immediately. I understand that once I submit my statement and the review begins, I lose my right to cancel this purchase within 14 days." Once you submit your statement and the review begins, you lose the right to cancel.

8. If something goes wrong

If we fail to deliver your review, we will re-run it at no cost or, if we can't, refund you in full. We don't refund because you disagree with the feedback or because of an admissions outcome (see clause 4).

9. Limitation of liability

Our total liability to you is limited to the price you paid. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

10. Your data

We use your personal data to deliver the review. See our privacy notice for what we collect, who processes it and how long we keep it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
